This part is actually easier than you might think. First, we’ll come and see you to understand your requirements and figure out just what kind of systems can be installed. We’ll design a full system using our Solar software and provide you with a full project report which includes price and forecasts. If you give us the go ahead, we’ll deal with all pre-installation paperwork, and book you in for an installation date that’s convenient to you. Scaffolding is installed (if required) either the day before, or the day of installation (depending on how big the project is). Our installation team take between 1-2 days to install everything for you, and we provide all handover documentation (certificates, part p, user manual, etc..) on the day we finish installation. We’ll teach you how to use, read, and understand your system. And if you need us from there, we’re just a phone call away.

Q: Are you fully accredited & certified?

Yes, we are a fully MCS, RECC, NICEIC, TrustMark, and Quality Mark Protection accredited installer.

Q: What is the payback period for a Solar installation?

We would expect an average system to take roughly 6 to 8 years to pay for itself, after which time any money earned will be profit for the owner.

Q: How much energy will it generate?

It is not possible to give an estimate of what your system will generate without visiting your property, as there are five main factors that will affect how much energy your system will generate: Total size of the PV array (number of panels) Latitude of the location Direction the panels face Angle the panels are mounted Any shading However, to give you an idea we would expect a typical unshaded 4kWh system installed on the south facing roof of house in Derbyshire to produce at least 3840kWh of electricity annually.

Q: Do I have to deal with sales people?

Absolutely not! Eco Switch is a family run business, so we don’t have sales people. James will personally visit your property to provide you with a full survey and system recommendation. There’s no cheesy sales tactics, and no sudden “price drops for signing on the day”.
