We checked out two other companies before we chose James at Ecoswitch on the personal recommendation of a friend. The quotation was very informative with lots of extra emailed specifications of panels, batteries etc. At no point did we feel rushed or pressured, in fact the whole process took a few months while we considered our options. As a plus point the extra time enabled us to have higher spec panels as they are constantly evolving. In addition, with all the extra knowledge our aspirations changed and James tailored the system so that we could be as self sufficient as possible.Throughout James kept in touch answering questions and explaining any delays eg bureaucracy, delivery etc. The actual installation was very efficient with scaffolders, roofers (to install panels) and electricians coming and going with great precision. Incidentally the scaffolding was up for less than a week. James was in attendance every day supervising and ensuring a smooth high quality installation, even going up on to the roof to check on things. He and Jacek the electrician took great care to ensure that extra circuitry required to run during power cuts was as unobtrusive as possible. Paperwork and MCS certification were promptly provided so that we could export our spare power to the grid. Since installation James has remained in touch both to check all is well and answer any further queries. All in all, with our experience, we would be more than happy to recommend James and Ecoswitch if you’re thinking of having solar panels.

I had been thinking about solar for a while and had been lurking on a couple of the groups trying to work out what I wanted/needed. I had been in touch with a couple of companies and had received quotes. Not entirely sure they were what I needed, whether they would work as I wanted them too or infact whether they were a decent price I called up James whom I had found on a solar chat group. I chose him because whenever he answered any questions posed on there, he always gave a well rounded and pragmatic answer, always helpful. At no point did he try and steer me towards his company. He gave good, honest and genuine advice, highlighted pros and cons and spent over an hour on the phone with me as I fired off questions, answering them all and I ended the call better advised but having not made an appointment, he never pressured me too. His attitude gave me great confidence and I arranged an installation of both solar and a large battery system. James and his team were excellent. They turned up exactly on time, were courteous and careful and the work was completed to a high standard. All the paperwork was provided promptly and the handover smooth and professional. Whats more important though is that the aftercare has matched the pre care, this is rare and welcomed. People like James and his team are hard to find in any industry. James from Ecoswitch improvements visited us to explain the options available for an on-roof solar system, talking us through battery choices and the pros/cons etc… James made everything easy to understand for those who are new to this developing technology which helped us decide if batteries were the right choice for us. The noticeable thing was him not chasing us to place an order, ie he’s not a pushy salesman chasing his commission payment, quite the reverse! 6 weeks on, after system going live, it was the right decision for us, our imported electricity in that time has halved. The tradesmen used by James for the installation and commissioning were polite, tidy workers, did a good job and were very quick. Our system was 8 panels and 2 batteries, installation started mid morning on day 1 and by middle of afternoon on day 2 we were generating our own electricity! All of the certificates and legal documentation was completed for us by James, removing that hurdle of understanding the process and done within 3-4 days of system being live. The after sales support from James is as you want, he is at the end of the phone and always ready to help, but never bothering you unnecessarily. He has been helpful with guiding us to a better utility company, as well as assistance with APPs on our phones, to both monitor and control our solar system. All in all, highly recommended!

I've had solar and battery storage in my house for 2 years now, my parents decided they wanted to take the plunge so I told them to reach out to various companies to obtain quotes. It was truly shocking to see such a variety of quotes with different specifications I.e. a quote to fit 12 panels when the roof is only big enough for 8 panels. I decided that I'd post the best quote to a large well established Facebook group specialising in renewable energy products where there are many suppliers, installers and end users to gain valuable knowledge from. I had several responses and 1 of them was from James. We asked him come round and take a look given that he was relatively local to us. James is someone who does things properly. He takes his time to propose the most suitable system and there are no pressure tactics or “special discounts”. As part of the process he also took time to explain the installation, in particular cable entry through the roof. Our system was installed quickly and James spent time at the end making sure that everything was set up properly and that paperwork was all complete. I had the necessary MCS certificate and G99 document by the next day so I could register for export. A+ service from James and the team!

After rejecting 3 other companies that didn't go into the issues anything like as thoroughly, and in some cases quoted more for worse equipment, I've recently had mine installed by EcoSwitch - just at what should be the wrong time of year. I'm only having to top up the batteries a couple of nights a week at a cost of a few pence, and a little is being exported to the grid even now. The installation went very smoothly in 2 days and James provides unmatched after-sales service.

I had my panels installed over a year ago with the promise of battery backup as soon as the batteries arrived from China (shipping strikes/battery shortages etc). Each time I phoned there was this problem and another problem and then a promise of fitting. Once more they failed to turn up so I decided to look elsewhere. I sent off for quotes and such and after reading all of the reviews I finally settled on ecoswitch as they were competitive with price, excellent reviews and local (within 50 miles). I must say that I am absolutely delighted with the choice that I made. Everything about the company has been first class. After explaining to James what solar system I had installed and what I wanted from the battery storage he was very helpful with the information he provided. Not only being able to get the one battery that I was originally waiting for but getting 3 batteries delivered of the exact make and model that I had been waiting more than 12 months for and delivered to my house within a couple of days along with an appointment time to come and fit them. Both James and Jacek were excellent in the skills that they brought to the job. Always turned up on time and completed the work perfectly. It has now been four weeks since completion and I am extremely happy with everything that ecoswitchimprovements.co.uk have done.

Our first contact with Eco Switch was so positive that we decided to stop looking anywhere else for our solar system. When we met James he answered every question with confidence and clarity. The whole process was very easy throughout. From the scaffolding going up to the men fitting the panels and the delightful electrician we cannot fault the workmanship. Our very old roof tiles took a little bit of damage which was rectified quickly before the scaffolding came down. We are really happy with every aspect of the installation, the savings are more than we expected! It’s all quite new and we appreciate that winter isn’t far off but we can see that even on a relatively dull day our panels are doing their job and the batteries are being charged. He answered all of my questions (and there were lots!!) Often answering in layman's terms so i fully understood everything. James was totally honest with me and actually undersold so we got the most practical system at a great price. Couldn't recommend getting solar panels more, and using Eco Switch to do so. The whole process has been very quick (after abandoning a previous company who haven't managed to do it in 12 months due to 'supply issues'). The equipment provided is better quality than other companies have been trying to offload onto us with newer more efficient panels rather than clearing out older models. James service manner is excellent and if you have any worries about switching to solar he's the man for you as he can (and will!) explain everything in detail. Wasnt pushy at all and made a difficult decision easy. When it comes to the job itself he and his team clearly know the regulations inside out and have done great work installing our system in a challenging 'non-standard' environment. Above all else we haven't used a Watt from the grid since our system was installed 4 days ago which is what we should all be striving for so go solar with Eco Switch today!

Recently we’ve had solar panels and a battery system installed by Eco Switch Improvements. The whole process from start to finish was so easy. James keeps you informed at every stage, the scaffolders, guys fitting the panels and the electrician all arrived on time. Even when setting up the inverter took a bit longer than normal, because James had to source a different one that they don’t normally fit to suit my requirements. Absolutely super company, very good advice, very committed and great communication! We don't have a standard installation (panels are installed on an outbuilding). James took a lot of time to plan and advise. In an installation there are things you can't plan for, unexpected events happen. What is important is how they are dealt with. And James is excellent at dealing with the unexpected and problems. He just finds a solution. Amazing! We are super happy with our solar installation and can absolutely recommend this company!!!

I was amazed that the system was installed and up and running in no time at all.It was a February day and the optional storage battery I opted for was charging away, storing the surplus energy the house didn't need. As a result I could then automatically draw the battery power to run the house when the sun goes down at night. Saving me £'s .No issues post install. I have an app on my phone showing me my live and historic system usage, battery capacity etc. James and the team were happy to help with any questions and queries post install.
